Greg Banaszak is an American saxophonist. He specializes in European classical music, but also performs jazz.
He serves on the faculties of the Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music (Assistant Professor of Saxophone and Director of Jazz Studies)[1] and the Cleveland Institute of Music (adjunct faculty).[2] He has also performed as saxophonist for the Cleveland Orchestra.
He holds a B.M. cum laude from the Hartt School, an Artist Diploma from the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw and a Performance Certificate from the Centre Musical d'Annecy in France. His instructors have included Vincent J. Abato, Daniel Deffayet, Jackie McLean, David Pituch, and Kenneth Radnofsky.
Banaszak is a frequent concerto soloist with orchestras around the world and has given recitals throughout the United States, Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
His most recent CD, featuring saxophone concerti with the Polish National Chamber Orchestra, is available from the Centaur Records label. He has also recorded for the Chanson and Open Loop labels.
